And yeah, we're all wanting more of Sunshine's world, but she's pretty firmly said there won't be any more. At least, not for the foreseeable future!Kim Aippersbachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02556947405633680410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1133568317365346510.post-38173552092491634512010-11-25T10:42:51.714-08:002010-11-25T10:42:51.714-08:00I absolutely loved them both. Sunshine, in a world and with people familiar to mine, but oh so different - and drawn in such detail, totally believable. And Pegasus, more akin to what I understood fantasy to be (as you say, more like a fairy tale), but again, I was totally immersed in the world Robin portrayed. Eagerly awaiting Peg II, and hoping(!) for a continuation of Sunshine!Cathy Robertsonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1133568317365346510.post-17771267009783083192010-11-24T12:32:35.362-08:002010-11-24T12:32:35.362-08:00I'll be interested to know what you think of P...I'll be interested to know what you think of Pegasus: it's very different from Sunshine! But still the same theme of a young person discovering talents she never knew she had and then saving the world with them (at least, I hope Sylvie saves the world!) I also strongly recommend The Blue Sword and The Hero and the Crown, which have the same fairy-tale sensibiilty as Pegasus (could almost be set in the same world, but I think not).Kim Aippersbachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02556947405633680410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1133568317365346510.post-40027801394445365922010-11-24T11:21:08.613-08:002010-11-24T11:21:08.613-08:00Sunshine was my first Robin McKinley book as well....Sunshine was my first Robin McKinley book as well. As one of the previously unconverted I thank you for introducing me to Robin McKinley's work. I am now in possession of her book, Sunshine, and am looking forward to reading it.

I had a blast on Saturday and look forward to more pie. :)Karen Woodwardhttp://www.karenwoodward.org/noreply@blogger.com
